Sukia was an American electronic band based in Camarillo, California, formed in the early 1990s amid the Los Angeles indie music scene. The band featured former child actor Ross Harris, known for his roles in 1970s shows such as CHiPS and Little House on the Prairie. They took their name from an Italian vampire comic book of the same name. Sukia released their only album, Contacto Espacial con el Tercer Sexo, in 1996, which was produced by the Dust Brothers and Jerry Finn, and released on the Dust Brothers label, Nickelbag Records, in the United States, as well as through Mo Wax Records in the United Kingdom. Following their dissolution, Sukia developed a cult following, particularly for their album and alternate versions of the songs "Gary Super Macho" and "The Dream Machine."
