Claudio Passavanti, known as Sunlightsquare, is a talented musician and producer who studied Orchestral Composing and Arranging at The Grove School Of Music in Los Angeles from a young age. A prodigious pianist in the local jazz scene, he recorded his first solo album at 21 with the renowned GRP rhythm section of John Patitucci and Dave Weckl at Chick Corea's "Mad Hatter Studios" for Rossodisera/Sony Italy. After moving to London at 30, Claudio found new inspiration in the East End's vibrant music scene. He began as an in-house producer for the techno label Almighty Records before launching his independent label, Sunlightsquare Records Ltd, in 2004. The label's inaugural release, "Urban Session," featured legendary musicians such as drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Will Lee, and vocalists Sharlene Hector, Joy Malcolm, and Z-Star. In 2010, his salsa rendition of "I Believe In Miracles" from the CD Havana Central gained cult status in global Latin circles, supported by notable DJs like Gilles Peterson, Louie Vega, and Jazzie B, as well as radio stations such as Jazz FM and BBC. Claudio also maintains a significant online presence, including the popular Doctor Mix YouTube channel, which has over a quarter of a million subscribers eager for production tips and reconstructions of famous hits.
