Supermax was a German disco-rock fusion project founded in 1976 in Frankfurt by Austrian artist Kurt, who was active from 1949 to 2011. The project gained popularity with the hit 'Love Machine' from their self-titled LP. Notably, Supermax's band was the first "multiracial" group to tour South Africa, where they performed 21 shows despite facing near-constant death threats, creating a significant political impact. As a result of their activities, Kurt earned "no-entry" status to several countries.
