Supersister is a Dutch progressive rock band that originated in 1967 under the name Sweet OK Supersister, following the members' previous involvement in school bands like The Blubs and The Provocation. The band transitioned to the name Supersister in 1968 and initially disbanded in 1974. They reunited in 2000, but the sudden death of member Sacha van Geest in 2001 due to a heart attack marked an end to the band. A planned reunion in 2010 as a three-piece was halted by the death of Ron van Eck from cancer in 2011. In 2018, Robert Jan Stips gathered former musical friends to create new music in the Supersister style, leading to the formation of Supersister Projekt. This incarnation released the album "Retsis Repus" in 2019, accompanied by three concerts featuring various musicians from the album. A four-piece lineup, including Robert Jan Stips, Marieke Brokamp, Bart Wijtman, and Léon Klaasse, went on a club tour in October 2019, with occasional guest appearances from the full album lineup. In the fall of 2021, the band reformed again as a three-piece with Robert Jan Stips, Rinus Gerritsen, and Léon Klaasse. Their concert tour was interrupted midway due to global COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, and Stips himself contracted the virus. The tour resumed in the spring
