Supertramp is a British/American rock band that was formed in London, England, in 1969. The band disbanded in 1988 but reunited intermittently from 1996 to 2002 and reformed in 2010/11 for a European tour. The lineup for their first LP in 1970 included members who contributed vocals, acoustic guitar, cello, flageolet, bass, piano, electric piano, organ, harmonica, acoustic & electric guitar, and drums, among other instruments. The second LP, "Indelibly Stamped," released in 1971, featured a lineup that included vocals, keyboards, harmonica, flutes, saxophones, and drums. The classic lineup from 1973 to 1988 included lead vocals, keyboards, guitars, woodwinds, bass, and drums. The final lineup included members who played lead vocals, keyboards, harmonica, guitars, percussion, trumpet, trombone, and drums, among others. One member left the band in 1983. The group's final studio release was "Slow Motion" in 2002, and their last live performance took place in Carcassonne, France, in 2011. The only constant member throughout the band's entire career passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 81.
