Suprême NTM, commonly known as NTM, is a French hip hop group that was formed in 1989 in Seine-Saint-Denis. The group consists of rappers Joey Starr and Kool Shen. They released six albums, but in 1998, they put out their last album of original material under the NTM name as both members began to focus on their own labels, promoting new artists and exploring ventures in the clothing industry. Although the band still officially exists, Kool Shen stated in 2004 that they had moved on from NTM in 1998. In 2001, they released a 'clash' album featuring artists from both of their labels. The group's name was inspired by a tagging incident involving a young Nick Tahmaire, who became known as Colt.
