Suresh Wadkar is an acclaimed Indian playback singer known for his soulful voice and impeccable classical grounding. Trained in Hindustani classical music under Pandit Jialal Vasant, Wadkar’s career spans decades across Hindi, Marathi, and several regional languages. Since his breakthrough in the late 1970s, he has lent his voice to some of Indian cinema’s most celebrated composers, including R. D. Burman, Laxmikant–Pyarelal, and R. D. Burman.
