Susumu Yokota was a Japanese techno and ambient composer, recognized for his work across various electronic, ambient, and avant-garde styles. He primarily used the katakana version of his name: ススム・ヨコタ. Born on April 22, 1960, in Toyama, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, he made a significant impact as both a composer and a house and techno DJ in the earlier part of his career. Yokota passed away on March 27, 2015, in Japan at the age of 54.
