Sven Grünberg (born November 24, 1956) is an Estonian composer and musician known for his ambient and progressive rock music, particularly his meditative organ and electronic works inspired by Tibetan Buddhism. He was the leader of the progressive rock band Mess, which he founded in January 1974 with Härmo Härm. Despite their numerous live performances, Mess did not release any studio albums due to conflicts with Soviet ideology; however, Grünberg later released a compilation of the band's recordings in 1996 and a remastered album in 2004. In addition to his music career, he has collaborated with film director Olav Neuland on soundtracks for many of his films and serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Estonian Institute of Buddhism.
