Swindlefolk was a folk group formed in 1968 at Ruffwood School in Kirkby, UK, by teacher Dyanne "Dy" Swindlehurst. The group gained local fame through successful school music productions, leading to radio and TV appearances, as well as tours and festival performances. They released three privately produced albums between 1968 and 1970, with their debut album "Swindled" being re-released by Decca's Ace of Clubs in 1970. The group disbanded in 1971, after which former members joined a subsequent school group that released an album in 1972.
