Sybil, born on June 2, 1965, in Paterson, New Jersey, is a talented singer-songwriter known for her contributions to the music industry. She signed her first recording contract in the USA in 1986 and released her debut album, "Let Yourself Go," a year later. Sybil gained significant recognition with her cover versions of Dionne Warwick's "Don't Make Me Over" and "Walk On By," which were released in 1989 and 1990, respectively. These tracks helped her self-titled second album become her biggest-selling album in the USA and led to her signing with a UK label. Her third album, "Sybilization," was released in the fall of 1990 but did not achieve the same level of success. In 1993, she experienced her most successful hits in the UK with a cover of "The Love I Lost" and its follow-up, "When I'm Good And Ready." That same year, Sybil released two different albums: "Doin' It Now!" in North America, which focused on soul/R&B, and "Good 'N' Ready" in Europe, which leaned more towards dance-pop. In 1997, she ended her contract with Next Plateau, releasing a greatest hits album, and later that year, she released her last album to date, "Still A Thrill," exclusively in Europe and Japan.
