Tyrone, known professionally as T Ski Valley, is an early New York rapper born on March 9th in the Bronx. He began his musical career at the age of fourteen in the northeast Bronx area called the Valley. T-Ski attended Michelangelo J.H.S. and I.S. 144, where he played guitar, before graduating from Evander Childs H.S. There, he formed a group called the Erotic Disco Brothers with a friend, Disco Prince. In 1978, T-Ski joined Kool Herc as an M.C. (Fly Force) and later that year teamed up with A.J. and Busy Bee as a D.J. After high school, he worked with reggae producers at Clocktower Records and Studio One Records. His first release was “Catch The Beat,” and he went on to produce various groups. T-Ski explains that his name stands for "Tyrone," "Sensation," "Koolest in the Nation," and "Inspiration," while "Valley" represents his roots.
