Takahashi Chikuzan was a blind Japanese tsugaru-jamisen player, born in June 1910 and passing away on February 5, 1998. He played a significant role in the post-war boom of tsugaru-jamisen music. Before his death, he bequeathed his professional name to one of his female students, who then became a notable figure in the genre.
