Takashi Kokubo is a New Age, ambient, and environmental music composer and sound designer born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1956. He has played a significant role in shaping the sound identity of Japan, contributing to projects such as the nationally-used mobile phone earthquake alert sound and credit card payment jingles. In addition to his work in music, Kokubo is the founder and CEO of a company and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Open University of Japan.
