Take Three is a musical group fronted by sisters Jackie and Jean Heron, who were previously part of a South London lovers rock vocal harmony group. The group was conceived by a writer/producer trio consisting of Steve, Kevin, and Peter Hinds. Steve and Kevin met at The Factory community centre in Paddington, which is now known as the Yaa Asantewa centre. They began a partnership writing and directing their own theatre productions as part of The Black Theatre Co-Op. Their journey into record writing and production started when a song they created for one of their productions received acclaim. Peter Hinds, a seasoned musician formerly associated with key Brit funk groups and a player with various artists, joined them to complete the creative team.
