Takeo Watanabe was a Japanese musician and composer, born on April 16, 1933, and he passed away on June 2, 1989. He was the son of a classical composer. Watanabe is renowned for composing the well-known theme song for "Cutie Honey," as well as music for various anime television series and films, including "Heidi," "Lone Wolf and Cub," "Candy Candy," and "Mobile Suit Gundam."
