Takeshi Terauchi & His Blue Jeans, also known as Terry and The Blue Jeans, is a Japanese rock band with a rich history that began in 1962. The early members of the band during the Rockabilly era included Takeshi Terauchi, Hachiro Suzuki, Naoaki Hori, Kunimitsu Fuyuume, Osamu Arima, and Masayuki Hori. In 1964, they transitioned into the Surf Beat GS era, featuring members such as Takeshi Terauchi, Kunihiko Kase, Masami Ichikawa, Shiro Ishibashi, Fumio Kudo, and Hachiro Suzuki. Notably, in 1966, they served as the opening act for The Beatles' live performance in Japan. However, Kunihiko Kase left the group just before the event, expressing his desire to see The Beatles perform from the audience. Around the same time, Takeshi Terauchi faced health issues due to overwork and was expected to leave the group for medical treatment prior to the concert. The band made their record debut in 1967 during the GS era with new members George Tagawa, Kazuo Okamoto, Hiroshi Nishimura, Isao Asakura, Izumi Wada, and Ryuji Hoshi.
