Takis Gritzelis (June 13, 1958 - February 8, 2018) was a Belgian producer and composer of Greek origin, known for his contributions to the New Beat genre during the late 1980s. He achieved significant recognition with hits like "Paris-Istanbul" and paid tribute to the Greek island Mykonos with a 12" record of the same name, which also served as a critique of corrupt Greek politicians. Gritzelis was celebrated for his fresh, creative, and powerful sound that resonated in clubs, with many of his tracks honoring the beauty of women and showcasing his ability to make them dance. He is regarded as the most well-known Greek New Beat composer worldwide.
