Tasavallan Presidentti is one of Finland's most famous prog rock bands, founded in the spring of 1969 by a guitarist and a drummer. The other members of the band came from a group that had recently split up, including a bassist and a singer. They released their debut album in 1969 and toured in Sweden and England during the early 1970s. The band released three more albums but ultimately split up in 1974. In 1972, Frank Robson was fired from the band and was replaced by another member.
