Teiko Kikuchi, known in Japanese as 菊地悌子, was a renowned koto player. She received prestigious accolades for her contributions to music, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 1995 and the Order of the Precious Crown Fourth Class in 2001, both awarded by the Emperor of Japan. Teiko Kikuchi passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 95.
