Tempo O'Neil is a seasoned singer who has been an integral part of the music scene since the early days of acid house and the emergence of ragga house, which evolved into jungle music. He has collaborated with notable record labels such as Big City Records, Brain Records, Everyday Junglist, and S.O.U.R., working alongside artists like Shy FX, UK Apache, and Elizabeth Troy. Additionally, he has partnered with producers TuffJam, London Connection, and the Crosstracks label at Bagley Studios. Tempo's musical journey began at the age of 14 in reggae sound systems, where his early experiences with smaller sounds led him to Unity Sound with Demon Rocker and Flinty Badman. He gained further recognition performing for Saxon Sound System under the name Sugar Brown, touring across the UK and Jamaica, and sharing the stage with prominent acts such as Maxi Priest, Smiley Culture, Tipper Irie, and Daddy Freddy. His reggae songs are characterized by a soulful edge, which he later expanded into soul music and swing through collaborations with various producers and musicians. His experiences in different studios around London, particularly with Carl MacIntosh of Loose Ends, inspired him to produce his own music. Observing the evolution of smaller labels and performing throughout Europe motivated him to launch his own material, leading to the creation of his new label, which represents a fresh venture into his visionary approach to music and its elements.
