Terminal Cheesecake is a UK band that originated in North and East London in 1988. The group was formed by members previously associated with The Purple Things and The Vibes, along with individuals from A.R. Kane and M/A/R/R/S. The original lineup included Mick Parkin and John Jobbagy, who was the drummer for both The Vibes and The Purple Things. Over time, the band underwent changes in personnel, losing its original rhythm section and bringing in drummer Joe Whitney and a bassist who had occasionally played with the band. This shift furthered their exploration of an all-out dub-reggae sound. Terminal Cheesecake disbanded in 1994, but members Watson and Boniface later collaborated with Papa Newman in a new group. In 2013, the band officially re-formed with new members Neil "the fish" Francis and Dave Cochrane.
