Terry Dean and The Nitebeats were an Auckland-based New Zealand beat group active in the 1960s. They released four singles on the Mascot label in 1964. The group's lead vocalist, Terry Dean, was born Terry Fidow in Samoa and moved to Auckland with his family as a child. The band experienced several line-up changes before disbanding in 1965. The lineup at one point included Terry Fidow (Vocals), Andrew Quayle (Piano), Errol Timbers (Lead Guitar), Alex Behrens (Drums), Leo Sleeman (Bass Guitar), and Peter Jones (Rhythm Guitar).
