Tetrao Tetrix is a trio founded in 2019, consisting of Gaudenz Badrutt on electronics, Jean-Luc Guionnet on alto saxophone, and Frantz Loriot on viola. They have developed a distinct sonic and musical identity through a dedicated practice of improvisation, exploring the question of form while integrating concepts that guide their improvisation. The trio arranges their historically marked instruments to create unexplored sound fields.
