The Andrews Sisters were a highly successful close harmony singing group from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, known for their contributions to the swing and boogie-woogie eras. Throughout their long career, they sold over 75 million records, with an official count from the mid-1970s. The group achieved 113 charted Billboard hits, 46 of which reached the Top 10, surpassing many of their contemporaries. In 1998, they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. The group consisted of three sisters: LaVerne Sophia Andrews (contralto, July 6, 1911 – May 8, 1967), Maxene Angelyn Andrews (soprano, January 3, 1916 – October 21, 1995), and Patricia Marie "Patty" Andrews (mezzo-soprano, February 16, 1918 – January 30, 2013).
