The Ascots were a band from Pontiac, a northern suburb of Detroit, active from 1964 to 1967. The group consisted of members aged 14 to 16 at the time they recorded their only single on Frat Records. The lineup included Chris Chappell on vocals, John Neff on lead guitar, Dale Kath on rhythm guitar, Bob Pelmear on bass, and Frank Giglio on drums. Jim Stiel later replaced Pelmear but did not appear on the single. John Neff passed away in December 2022.
