The Astors were a soul vocal quartet from Memphis, Tennessee, active in the 1960s. The group originally formed in 1958 under the name The Duntinos, and in 1961, they adopted a new name inspired by their producer. They recorded a single at Stax before changing their name to The Astors in 1963. As The Astors, they released four singles at Stax and five more at Ace through Stax. The members of the group included Curtis Johnson, Eliehue Stanback, Sam (Byrnes) Jones, and Richard Harris. Eliehue Stanback is referred to as [information not provided].
