The Azusa Plane was a one-man recording group known for its effects-centric guitar work, active from 1970 until 2006. The music produced by The Azusa Plane leaned toward drifting atmospherics rather than the typical angst-laden pop crooning found in much home recording. The sound featured multiple layers of guitar tracks interspersed with contrasting strains, creating a numbing overload rich with reverb and characterized by a focus on drones.
