The Bishops are a British indie rock band formed in 2002 in London. The band consists of twin brothers Mike Bishop (vocals, guitar) and Pete Bishop (vocals, bass), along with Scotsman Chris McConville (drums). They recorded their self-titled debut album, 'The Bishops', at Toe Rag Studios, produced by Liam Watson, which was released internationally in 2007. They followed this with their second album, 'For Now', in 2009, recorded at Bark Studios in London with Brian O'Shaughnessy. That same year, they celebrated their 500th gig at the historic 100 Club in London. In late 2009, the band expanded to a four-piece by adding younger brother Alex Bishop. They recorded the EP 'Sojourn' in 2010, marking a shift from their earlier garage/beat sound to a more contemporary alternative direction. Although Alex left the band as a full-time member in 2012, they continued to explore the sound established in the 'Sojourn' EP and went on to create their third record, 'All Lost Time'.
