The Blackbirds are recognized as one of the earliest Krautrock bands. Initially, they were a 1960s pop band typical of the soul-beat era, but they later ventured into experimental realms. Their sound was characterized by a blend of satire reminiscent of the Mothers Of Invention, along with some progressive elements.
