The Blue Cats are a British Neo-Rockabilly band that originated in the late 1970s as The Blue Cat Trio. The original lineup included Dave Phillips, Carlo Edwards, Stef Edwards, and Clive Osborne. In September 1980, Dave Phillips left the band and was replaced by singer Clint Bradley and bassist Mitch Caws, leading to a name change to Blue Cats. In 1982, the band experimented with a new style as The G-Men and later, from 1983 onwards, as Beltane Fire. In the early 1990s, Blue Cats returned to their rockabilly roots and are recognized as pioneers of the British Neo-Rockabilly movement, blending traditional American rockabilly with modern wave influences. The band made a notable comeback in 2012, which earned them recognition across Europe and worldwide.
