The Boo Radleys are an English alternative rock band formed in Wallasey, Merseyside, in 1988. They disbanded in 1999 and reunited in 2020, although original member Martin Carr did not rejoin. The band has undergone significant transformation throughout its career, evolving from noisy experimentalists to shoegazing dreampoppers and eventually to classic pop artists who achieved Top 40 success in the UK. Despite their popularity in Europe, they have not managed to break into the US market. The current lineup includes Rob Cieka on drums, Simon “Sice” Rowbottom on vocals and guitar, and Timothy Brown on bass, guitar, and keyboards. Former members include Martin Carr, who was with the band from its inception until their breakup, as well as Rob Harrison and Steve Hewitt, both of whom played drums in the early years.
