**The Boogie Kings Biography** The Boogie Kings, an American musical group, was originally founded in 1956 in Eunice, Louisiana. Initially, the band consisted of three members: Doug Ardoin, Harris Miller, and Bert Miller, playing swamp pop music. Over time, the group expanded into a 12-piece blue-eyed soul ensemble. The band disbanded in 1969 but reunited for several gigs before successfully reforming in 1991, returning to their swamp pop roots. Doug Ardoin led the group from the beginning until he left, after which Harris Miller took over until 1964. Ned Theall became the leader in 1965 and held the position until 1967, and again from 1991 until his death in 2010. Jack Hall led the group from 1967 to 1969, and the current leader is drummer Ronnie Crowley. After West's departure in 1965, he attempted to use the name "Clint West and the Boogie Kings" without permission, leading to a lawsuit that forced him to rename his band to "Clint West and the Kings." The Fabulous Boogie Kings were inducted into the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame by the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur, TX, more than four decades after their formation. They were also inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 1994 and received a lifetime achievement award from the South Louisiana Music Association two years later. The group's original lineup
