The Brunswick Playboys were a pop group formed in 1960 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Known as the BP's, the band consisted of Roger Cormier on bass, George Hebert on guitar, organ, and harmonica, Gerry Holley on vocals, and Bob Bourgeois on drums. They signed with Arc Records in 1965 and released three records on that label, gaining popularity through extensive touring in the Maritimes and making notable appearances in Quebec. In Nova Scotia, they were featured on Frank's Bandstand and contributed a track to the "Do You Wanna Dance" LP compilation in 1965. Their performance on "Pop Performance" on CKCW-TV caught the attention of Alex Sherman from Ottawa, leading to a contract with Excellent Records in 1966. Under this label, they recorded a single and an album, produced by Alex Sherman with liner notes by Ron Bourgeois.
