The Buckaroos were an American country music band active in the 1960s and early 1970s, led by a prominent figure in the genre. They, along with another influential artist, played a significant role in the development and presentation of the "Bakersfield sound." The band experienced their peak of success from 1965 to 1970. In 2005, CMT recognized The Buckaroos by naming them No. 2 on its list of the 20 Greatest Country Music Bands.
