The Buffalo Springfield was an American folk rock band formed in 1966 in Los Angeles. The band officially disbanded in 1968 after releasing three studio albums. Notable members included Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and Richie Furay. In recognition of their contributions to music, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as performers.
