The Burrell Connection is a Scotland-born, Berlin-based artist whose name is inspired by The Burrell Collection, an art space in Glasgow's Southside. Upon arriving in 1995, the area was facing potential demolition but was preserved through various campaigns and protests, transforming into vibrant raves. It was during this time that the artist was gifted a record at an after-party produced by Nu Groove legends Rhano and Rheji, igniting a passion for music that celebrates both preservation and artistic discovery. Having spun vinyl since the age of 15, The Burrell Connection has organized numerous parties and performances, including running and growing two clubs in Glasgow where he welcomed underground legends like Moodymann, Helena Hauff, Charanjit Singh, and Underground Resistance. With a residency at La Cheetah Club and the after-hours venue Lunacy, he honed his craft and graduated to a professional level. Since 2015, he has released several productions on vinyl through labels such as Optimo Music, Tartelet Records, Craigie Knowes, and Tresor. In 2025, The Burrell Connection, alongside aliases Dream_E, Alfie, and DJ59, released over 70 tracks, receiving support from notable figures like the late Andrew Weatherall, Eclair Fifi, and Leftfield.
