The Cassandra Complex is a band formed in Leeds, England, by Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon, and later journalist Andy Booth. They released their first single, "March," in 1985. Afterward, Rodney Orpheus relocated to Hamburg, Germany, where he was joined by guitarist Volker Zacharias, who has been with the band ever since. Throughout their career, The Cassandra Complex has incorporated elements of EBM, industrial, goth rock, new wave, and synth-pop into their sound.
