The Cavaliers, known for their RCA career, experienced two distinct phases. They began with self-penned Detroit dancers, including "Hold On To My Baby" and the unreleased "Without Someone To Tell Me," during their initial four-song session. Their second session featured Banks and Kelley's "Ooh It Hurts Me" alongside their own "It's Guaranteed." In their final session, they recorded two ballads originally written for Kenny Carter, "I've Gotta Find Her" and "Living In The Land Of Heartache," as well as Larry's own Kapp single track "Muddy Water." By this time, Joe Hunter had been replaced by New York veteran producer Teacho Wiltshire, with Larry and Teacho receiving production credits while Paul Robinson moved to executive producer. Bobby Croft served as the main lead singer on three of the four tracks, with Johnnie Williams taking the lead on the remaining track. Other members included Jerome Averette and Keith Illidge. During the second session, Willard Franklin Jr. joined the group, and by the final session, Bobby Croft had departed, leaving Johnnie Williams to handle all four solos. Keith Illidge, now known as Keith Loving, recalled the group performing vocals over the musical tracks.
