The Cheques were a 1960s garage/soul band hailing from Louisiana, primarily composed of young white Air Force personnel. The band featured Tony Nardi on keyboards and vocals, Mike Ventimiglia (also known as Dagger) as the lead vocalist, Sam Ryland on bass guitar and vocals, Chuck Parrino on drums and background vocals, and Matthew Joshua on rhythm guitar. Later, Joshua was replaced by Wayne Pagels.
