George W. Jones, Jr. was a multi-talented musician from the 1960s-1970s soul group The Citations, also known as The Cytations, based in Washington, D.C. In addition to serving as the lead singer, he played trumpet, keys, and trombone. Jones was instrumental in financing the group's second single, “Darling You Do” b/w “Suddenly,” which he released on his own label, Granjun, in the spring of 1969.
