The Clickettes were a doo-wop girl group formed in 1958 in Manhattan, New York. Active until 1962, the group consisted of lead singer Barbara Jean English, alto Sylvia Hammond, and sisters Trudy and Charlotte McCartney, who both sang soprano, with Trudy also performing baritone. In 1961, Helen Powell, formerly of The Impacts, replaced Sylvia Hammond. After their departure, they changed their name.
