The Company She Keeps, originally known as The Academic Hamiltons, was formed in 1980 after musical differences led to a split within the group. The band features Dave Finney on vocals, Rob Kenton on bass, and Martin Samuels on drums, who was part of the group before their publishing deal. Paul Ross also played drums for the band at one point. The lineup is completed by Richard Kirstein on keyboards and Jo Fletcher on percussion.
