The Constellations were a soul group from Chicago, Illinois, active during the 1960s and 1970s. Initially based in Chicago, they later moved to New York, where they recorded for Gemini Star. The group gained recognition as Dionne Warwick's backing band and released two singles on her Sonday label. Known for their exceptional talent and showmanship, the members involved in the Gemini Star recordings included Frankie Floyd, Zach Sanders, and Bobby Earl Williams. Floyd and Williams also released solo 45s on IX Chains, while Sanders later performed with the Writers on Columbia.
