**Bio: The Contemplations** The Contemplations was a musical group known for their first and only release, "Alone with No Love," which Joe released in 1969 as both a vocal and instrumental track. After one member left the group, the remaining members continued to perform around Washington, D.C., including venues like Howard University and local clubs. Joe sought a lead singer to pair with backing male vocalists for a song he had written titled "I Don't Think I'll Ever Love Another." The three remaining members of The Contemplations backed this new lead singer, and they adopted a new name for the project. They recorded only one track together. In 1971, Joe released the original cut by The Contemplations on the same 45 as the new group’s track, using the new name since the majority of the group remained the same. After the recording, the members of The Contemplations left to form a new group called "Natural Fact," which never recorded any material. Meanwhile, the lead singer of Rock Candy was paired with two backing vocalists for performances, and while more material was written for this new group, it was never released.
