The Cortinas were a punk rock band from Bristol, active from 1976 to 1978. The band featured guitarist Nick Sheppard, who later joined the Clash. In 2001, their debut single, "Fascist Dictator," originally released in June 1977, was recognized in a prominent British music magazine's list of the best punk-rock singles of all time.
