The Cowsills are an American singing group hailing from Newport, Rhode Island. They gained fame as the inspiration for the television series, The Partridge Family. Formed in the spring of 1965, the band originally consisted of brothers Bill Cowsill, Bob Cowsill, and Barry Cowsill, with John Cowsill joining shortly thereafter. Following their initial success, the group expanded to include their siblings Susan Cowsill and Paul Cowsill, as well as their mother, Barbara. Bob's twin brother Richard served as the road manager until his passing on July 8, 2014.
