The Creatures were formed in 1981 as a side project by members who were married between 1991 and 2007. In 1996, the project became their full-time group, continuing until its end in 2005. In October 2021, Budgie launched the Curious Creatures podcast, a name that is a pun referring to The Cure and The Creatures, although it is not directly related to The Creatures.
