The Crickets

The Crickets are an American band that originated in Lubbock, Texas in 1957. The original lineup included Charles Hardin Holley (vocals/guitar), Jerry Allison (drums), Niki Sullivan (guitar), and Joe Mauldin (bass). Niki Sullivan departed in 1958, and the band's iconic member, Buddy Holly, tragically passed away in 1959. Following these events, Jerry Allison continued to keep the band alive, recording and touring with various line-ups, including some from the early sixties.
