Known for his shrill voice, anti-authoritarian lyrics, and extreme antagonism, Dart was 28 years old when the band started, which was unusual for the youth-oriented hardcore scene. The original drummer was a young musician who eventually became the permanent drummer for another band. The Crucifucks' first album was recorded by a producer and released on a label in 1984. In 1987, Dart returned with a mostly different lineup and a different sound for the album "Wisconsin," but the band disintegrated less than a year later. Dart released a solo album entitled "Patricia" in 1990, named after his therapist, on Alternative Tentacles, followed by a rejected album, "Black Tuesday," in 1993, which was only released in a small batch of cassettes to friends.
